For years Tara has taught beginners through her Fast Track to Self Practice Course, teaching anyone new to the Ashtanga Mysore method from scratch. Now she is taking this course on tour.  The first destination is Odeceixe, South Portugal in the brand new shala of her teachers Petri Räisänen and Wambui Njuguna-Räisänen. 

 

Join Tara on this Ashtanga retreat specifically welcoming the complete beginner ànd intermediate yogi coming from other yoga styles or who have had a break from practice and want to develop or rebuild a daily Ashtanga self-practice. She also welcomes students with an established Ashtanga practice to join in.

Early morning starts with Mysore, where Tara teaches Ashtanga the traditional way. So all students with an established Ashtanga practice can join.

On the first four days Mysore is followed by the first four classes of her successful Fast Track to Self-practice course. Students new to the practice will be instructed in an uplifting and well structured way to memorise the fundamental asana’s. On day 5 you are ready to join the Mysore group, or sooner if Tara sees you are a quick learner.

 

The rest of the retreat week is filled with valuable workshops for any Ashtangi, workshops breaking down asana’s with proper technique and alignment, lectures to dive a little deeper into the yoga philosophy and ofcourse she blends in her gift of being of Indian descent; proper pronunciation of Sanskrit names and mantra’s.

This retreat is non-residential. Which means you can choose your own accommodation according to your own budget.

Tip
